Concert Report by Angelica for Rock N Roll Universe
When we were going to go in to the arena, we were almost first in the line. But the automat that read the tickets didn’t read ours because the Darkness had been changing arenas and we had tickets from the old arena. So, the security had to help us, but then all the guys that stood behind us got before us and all our waiting in the cold, were in vain. We were so angry! But we got in at the front anyway, but at the right side.
The Ark was the band that started to play and warm us up. And they did it very well. Their show was really cool! They played a lot of their hits so that we that hadn’t heard much of them could sing along anyway and that was nice!
The singer Ola Salo was wearing a pair of tight, black trousers and a short leather-jacket with some kind of feather boa. And he also had this hat as Rob Halford from Judas Priest always had! He looked really classy and cool.
When the show had gone halfway, he changed the short jacket to a pair of black wings. They were beautiful!
When The Ark had stopped playing, everybody started to push forward and it was really no spaces at all to move on. And some of the people had to be moved from there because they couldn’t breathe. Kinda scary…
When The Darkness came out everbody was so excited. They looked so good. Dan had his regular Thin Lizzy shirt and Justin had his low-cut trousers. I didn’t see what Ed was wearing, but their new bassist Ritchie was wearing black trousers and a black shirt.
They played really good this night, really amazing. I didn’t think that Justin would manage to take the highest tones in the songs but he did! He is great, a genius!
They also played some extra-things. Like a bit of a classical music song, and also the start of Van Halen's "Jump." Ritchie also got to sing a song. I’m not sure of what song it was, but it was some classic rock song.
My friend that I was on the concert with thought the show was great too, but she was a bit disappointed at Justin because he didn’t do a split-jump. Hehe! So we’re hoping to get to see if he really can do it at the next concert.
Later both my friend and I got a plectrum from Ritchie and we also got the set-list after the show from one of the security.
